"How long has it been since the last time you set your barefoot on a patch of soil?" Pimpan questioned the audience. Our goodwill to save the environment while ignoring to dig deep into the situation has created a squared world of modernity and a circled world of nature that are growing apart. How will we live together in an era full of environmental issues? The answer is not to plant more trees that don't grow, but to be mindful of each and every action we take in our very own concrete forests.

Pimpan Diskul na Ayudhya is the Director of the Knowledge and Learning Center at Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage. In the span of 5 years, the Foundation made significant improvements and changes to the areas in Nan affected by deforestation.
