The Animals - The House of the Rising Sun - Full Instrumental Recreation (4K) Liam Enea & Sam Popkin

Описание к видео The Animals - The House of the Rising Sun - Full Instrumental Recreation (4K) Liam Enea & Sam Popkin

One of the most enduring songs of the 60s, The House of the Rising Sun was recorded by The Animals on 18 May 1964 and was released as their second single on 19 June 1964, reaching #1 in England, the US, and Canada.

Personnel:
- Eric Burdon - vocals
- Hilton Valentine on his 1962 Gretsch Tennessean, probably played through his Selmer Twin Selectortone
- Chas Chandler on an Epiphone Rivoli
- Alan Price on a Vox Continental organ
- John Steel on drums

I'm using my 1963 Gretsch Tennessean, and Liam Enea is playing his 1964 Vox Continental so you can't get much closer than that on this song! Lots of thanks to Liam and Sam for helping to make this video happen!
Here's Liam's channel, go check him out, best Vox Continental player on YouTube!    / liamenea

Notes on Guitar: A few things to point out, Hilton generally hits the open G string when changing chords on this song, so Am - E he'll hit a G in the middle, but E - E he'll hit a G#. Also noteworthy is the exception to this where sometimes when playing the F chord, instead of landing on an open G string at the end, he lands on an ioen B string.

For bass I started by using this tab: https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/...
and I modified it a little to what I thought was more accurate, message me on instagram if you want pictures of my modified bass tab.

I played the Gretsch through my Vox AC30CC2X (in the Normal Channel , whereas I usually use Top Boost) and Hofner through my Fender Rumble 15, and I recorded everything with my WA-47 condenser mic.
