Hideout Hollow Hiking Trail at Buffalo National RIver | Compton, Arkansas

Описание к видео Hideout Hollow Hiking Trail at Buffalo National RIver | Compton, Arkansas

A few weeks ago Angie and I took our friend, Nabil, down to Compton, Arkansas to show him some of the beauty of the Buffalo River area. We started off with the short and easy hike to Paige Falls and Broadwater Falls, this was the first time any of us had been and we loved it. It was such a fun little creek and looked like it had a lot more beauty to see if one kept on exploring. We wanted to get onto our main hike for the day at Hideout Hollow though.

The Hideout Hollow Hike is short and relatively easy and the view at the bluff line is a great payoff and if you're adventurous it's not too tough to get down to the the base of the falls and explore the awesome area down there. The trailhead is down the Compton-Erbie Rd, a little ways past the Compton Trailhead that goes down to Hemmed in Hollow.

Several years ago I did a solo overnight hike bushwhacking down the hollow until I reached the Cecil Cove Loop and saw a lot of beauty that probably rarely gets experienced by human out there. Good times, but climbing back up the hill sucked! LOL

Please be safe and don't be careless around bluffs. Pack out what you bring in and don't mark/carve on trees or rocks. If you take the time to read the description you probably already know that though...

Thanks for watching!
