Measuring Chain Stretch on Yamaha FZ6 2007 + SPEC

Описание к видео Measuring Chain Stretch on Yamaha FZ6 2007 + SPEC

In this video I will be showing you how to measure the chain on a Yamaha FZ6 for chain stretch. Chain stretch happens over time from pins and plates wearing against each other. My bike has just over 60,000 km's on it and it's chain is just over the allowable limit of chain stretch. The manual instructs you to measure the distance over 15 links from the outer edge of the first pin to the outer edge of the last pin, THEN, the same 15 links from the inner edge of the first pin to the inner edge of the last pin. Average these two measurements by adding them together and dividing by two and you have your distance centre to centre.

The spec for chain length measured over 15 links centre to centre is:
9.42" or 239.3mm
