ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: We are two 60-somethings who are fortunate enough to be able to smell the roses---and we do!---(while we still can). We don't like videos in which the content creator is the star of the show. We prefer to show you what you want to see: the surroundings, the physical space and the atmosphere. We want to impart good, useful information to help you plan your travels!

There are eight separate dining
venues on Silver SPIRIT (nine
if you count the Arts Café).

I’LL explain ALL YOUR DINING OPTIONS HERE, BUT—- FOR REFERENCE—- THE DAILY ONBOARD NEWSLETTER WILL ALWAYS HAVE DETAILS OF WHAT’S OPEN AND WHEN.

THE DAILY CHRONICLES ALSO EXPLAINS HOW ALL AROUND DINING WORKS… AND THERE ARE DETAILS ON ALL EIGHT OF THE BARS ON SILVER SPIRIT.

La Terrazza transforms after
lunch from buffet to Italian à la carte,
and The Grill changes names and menus
for dinner to become "Hot Rocks”.

ONE NIGHT WE HOSTED A COCKTAIL PARTY FOR ALL THE NEW FRIENDS WE HAD MADE ON BOARD. OUR BUTLER PREPARED A FULL SPREAD IN THE OBSERVATION LOUNGE: APPETIZERS AND CANAPÉS, INCLUDING CAVIAR.

AND ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WE HOSTED A SMALLER GATHERING IN OUR SUITE, AND RUDULFO SET-UP SOME LIGHT BITES FOR US AND OUR GUESTS. REMEMBER: THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE. IT’S ALL INCLUDED.

BY THE WAY: Butlers deliver food on silver trays, spread fine linens and set tables with Villeroy & Boch china.

ON THE FIRST MORNING OF OUR CRUISE, NUMBER ONE CALLED ROOM SERVICE AND ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY VEGETABLE BROTH. “NO, MA’AM,” WAS THE REPLY. “BUT, IF YOU’D LIKE SOME VEGETABLE BROTH, WE’LL BE HAPPY TO MAKE YOU SOME.”

WE REALLY ENJOYED EATING IN OUR SUITE, ESPECIALLY ON THE BALCONY.

La Terrazza has a buffet-style breakfast
popular with many passengers.

You CAN ALSO order custom-made egg items such as omelettes AND EGGS BENEDICT.

If you prefer an à la carte
experience FOR BREAKFAST, try Atlantide.

La Terrazza is also open for lunch
and it is once again buffet style.

ABOUT ONCE A WEEK, THEY HAVE A HUGE SEAFOOD SPREAD ON ICE.

Another option for lunch is The Grill
up on the pool deck.

BESIDES THE GRILL MENU, YOU CAN ALSO ORDER FROM
Spaccanapoli, THE PIZZA KITCHEN WHICH SITS ABOVE THE POOL DECK. WE THOUGHT THE PIZZAS WERE VERY GOOD HERE!

The tables on the perimeter are changed after
lunch to become "Hot Rocks", another dinner option.

And, again, lunch is also available on Deck 4 at Atlantide.

AND, WHEN THE SHIP IS NOT DOCKED, YOU’LL FIND yet ANOTHER LUNCH OPTION: A SPECIAL THEMED LUNCH BUFFET, COMPLETE WITH FESTIVE DECORATIONS. YOU’LL FIND THAT ON DECK 5 IN THE LARGE SOCIAL AREA KNOWN AS “DOLCE VITA”.

ON DAY FIVE OF OUR CRUISE, THE THEME WAS “AMERICAN DINER”.

Think of Deck 4 as "Restaurant Row".
There are four great dining options here.

The entrances to all four restaurants
are at this attractive hub.

With a mere thirty seats, La Dame is by far the
most intimate of all dining aboard.

Reservations are required and there WAS—-AT THE TIME—- a $60 upcharge per person (totally worth it). We reserved 120 days in advance of embarkation.

Directly adjacent to La Dame
is Atlantide.

Directly across the hall is Indochine. It’s
the same size and IT’S FOOTPRINT IS a mirror image of Atlantide.

And, right next to Indochine is SEISHIN, which
mirrors La Dame's footprint and is just as small. THIS, TOO, HAS AN UPCHARGE: IT IS CURRENTLY FORTY DOLLARS PER PERSON.

OUR FAVORITE VENUE IS DEFINITELY Silver Note. IT is open later than most AND It's
been deScribed as "tapas", but we felt portions were typical for THE SHIP in general.

If you're hungry at a time that no restaurant
is open, the Arts Café is an option.

And, of course, your ultimate dining option —-
24 hours a day—- is room service.
