Pastrami On Rye, Manny's Deli Edition

Pipeworks Brewing Co. Pastrami on Rye: Manny's Deli Edition is an interesting and complex brew. I found this beer at Sprague Mart in Parma, Ohio and paid $3.89 a can for it. The can describes the beer as a Rye Ale with Smoked Malt, Brown Sugar, Black Pepper, Coriander Seed, Red Pepper and Mustard Seed. That descriptions sounded super interesting so I had to buy this! The beer poured out with a loud soda like tan orange head with the beer itself being a reddish brown color. Almost the color of pastrami. It smelled like black pepper and general meat spices if that makes sense. The beer had almost a medium body with a little bit too much carbonation. Theis beer was very complex. Lots of pepper, rye, red pepper, maybe some coriander and some sweetness. The flavors were hard to describe. This was surprisingly more spicy than I expected. Unfortunately the beer was 7+ months old so it may have subdued some of the flavors. At first I was not into the beer but the more I drank it the better it was. I would love to try this beer side by side with a Manny's pastrami on rye.
