Alleged Serial Strangler Wade Wilson ‘Just Wanted To’ Kill Two Florida Women: Prosecutor

Opening statements began Monday morning in the Cape Coral killing spree trial. The prosecutor said Wade Wilson admitted to killing Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz, strangling them because he “just wanted to do it.” In a confession, Wilson allegedly also said he “tried to make [Ruiz] look like spaghetti” by running her over several times. Wilson’s defense team reserved its opening statement and the state continued with questioning its first witnesses.
