Diploma Recognition in Switzerland in 2021 👩‍⚕‍ Physiotherapist in Switzerland 🇨🇭

As you may know by now, I am a registered Physiotherapist here in Switzerland, but I haven’t always lived here.

Answering some popular questions, I’ll be revealing what it takes to get your documents approved by discussing the process of applying for a diploma recognition in Switzerland.

The Step by Step procedure of recognition of foreign diplomas in health professions by the Swiss Red Cross:

Step 1: visit online-portal www.precheck.ch, open up an account and enter your personal data.
Step 2: Once you have completed your registration, submit the required documents for the pre-check.
(Please note: During the PreCheck, a free procedure is used to clarify whether the SRK is responsible for handling your application for recognition. In order to save you from unnecessary costs, an assessment is carried out at the same time as to whether your application has a chance of success. For the detailed examination of the content, you must then submit a fee-based application.
Step 3: Once the precheck has been carried out successfully, your dossier will be opened and you can compile the necessary documents. You will then receive the application form, a list of the documents to be submitted and the first partial invoice for the processing fee of CHF 550 or CHF. CHF 600.- as well as the information leaflet.
Step 4: You organize the necessary documents, certifications and translations of your training qualification, pay the first partial invoice or Invoice and send us all documents. From this point on, your dossier will be kept open for 2 years. (Please note that incomplete and incorrect documents can significantly prolong the recognition process. Missing documents will be requested from the Swiss Red Cross)
Machining:
Once the documents are complete and the payment has been booked in the database, you will receive a confirmation letter stating that the application is complete and will be assessed by a specialist within a maximum period of three to four months.
Decision:
You will receive the SRK's decision. Depending on your training, this can be direct recognition or a partial decision.
