In the third installment of the Sub 3 Project, join me as I take on a high-intensity cycling tabata workout that will test my limits and boost my VO2max. The recent snow in Colorado has forced me to be inside on a treadmill for most training, but I wanted to switch things up with a little cross training. I'll also give you a sneak peak of my foam rolling and yoga routine that I do every single day to recover and become more flexible. Although it's not running, cross training and stretching are both important components of a marathon build, for both injury prevention and well-roundedness as an athlete.

If you want to do the workout for yourself, here it is!

Warm Up: 10 minutes ramp: start easy and progress to a moderate pace by the end of the 10 minutes

MAIN SET:
Repeat 8 times: 20 seconds at maximal sprint power, 10 seconds rest

Cool Down: 10 minutes ramping down from moderate to light intensity
