National Information Convention Day 1 2/19/2018

The Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) launches today, February 19, 2018, the first ever National Information Convention (NIC) at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City.

Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Harold E. Clavite formally opens the forum, while Davao City Councilor Maria Belen S. Acosta reads the welcome remarks of Mayor Sara Z. Duterte on her behalf.

The Kalumon Performing Ensemble, a Davao-based internationally acclaimed dance-theater performing group composed of students, independent artists and young professionals, showcases the city’s culture through a cultural presentation.

The first day of the convention focuses on understanding government programs and policies, fostering a safe and healthy media environment, and raising the bar of governance.
