Whether you're storming the Fulda Gap in a fictionalized version starting WWIII or gaming the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, you're going to need a whole lot of painted infantry to represent the waves of Soviet Motor Rifles! The core of any Soviet infantry force, they're also a striking sight on the tabletop. Remember as well that when it was first introduced, the Soviet T-55 was a real concern to western powers - there's great opportunities for gaming during the Cold War period with the superpowers on roughly equal footing before some of the later developments would start to skew the balance ever further in NATO's direction.
