Painting 3D Printed Vehicles - How I Paint Things

Описание к видео Painting 3D Printed Vehicles - How I Paint Things

A hobby in and of itself, home 3D printing can give you some excellent results for your gaming table. With careful tweaking of your print settings you can deal with most of the visible layer stepping in FDM prints, but just a little prep work will help immensely when it comes to painting! READ MORE:

Using a combination of gloss varnishes, sandable filler putties and even automotive primers if you've got a hardware store near you, it's easy to buff out the most visible of layer lines in most of your prints. With a slight tweak in your style when it comes to painting them, you can draw the eye away from those that remain and have gaming pieces that will fit right into your army and cost only cents to make!

Thingiverse is home to a host of neat STL files you can rescale right in your slicing software, but if you're looking for what are essentially model kits which have been carefully designed to avoid the worst effects of FDM printing, check out Foolyo89's designs at: https://www.thingiverse.com/foolyo89/...
