Another favorite song from Murray Attaway at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Ga. 1/17/15. Under Jets went through several versions as it developed in Guadalcanal Diary's live show but other than demos, was never recorded. It did appear on "In Thrall" for Murray's Geffen release and had a special promotional single. Marietta was home to Bell Bomber, later Lockheed and Dobbins Air Force Base, so no matter where you lived you were under jets. When the C5 was being tested it would fill the sky as it flew over your school or neighborhood. There was a Mayberry-ish charm about the town - the sentimental myth of Americana that people wistfully pine for.
