3 hours soaked chana dal – ½ cup (approx. 50 grams)
3 hours soaked toor dal – 1 cup (approx. 75 grams)
Dry chilli – 2
Fennel seeds – ¾ teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ¾ teaspoon
Pepper – ½ teaspoon
Ginger
Garlic cloves – 15
Tomato – 2
Onion – 1
Chopped onion – 3 tbl spoon
Chopped coconut – 4 tbl spoon
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Asafoetida
Oil – 2 tbl spoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Fennel seeds – ½ teaspoon
Fenugreek – ¼ teaspoon
Turmeric powder
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1½ teaspoon
Sambar powder – 1 teaspoon
Salt
Tamarind juice of small lemon size
