Hiking Jonkershoek Panorama Circuit - The Most Beautiful Trail!

We highly recommend this trail, as well as doing it the other way around as the descend is a bit sketchy. By starting at the 2 waterfalls you climb up the steep incline and have an easy descend

The trail can be found in Jonkershoek nature reserve, Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa; About an hour's drive from Cape Town. We recommend starting here https://goo.gl/maps/qWH3zbYWYASuCpPZ7 . The trail has an entry fee of R50 at time of writing.

The trail is also perfect for photography so make sure to free up your camera's memory card

The trail is a total of 13.55km with a total elevation of 1km - recorded on Strava.

Jonkershoek has it all: expansive views, mountains, large waterfalls, gorges, and so much more.

We shot and edited this video in a way to make it relaxing and cinematic. In the video you will hear calming sounds of birds, waterfalls, footsteps, wind, and foliage blowing; all with light background music. The video was mostly shot on a Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition stabilized on a DJI OSMO , and then some scenes with a Sony A6000.

Jonkershoek has some of the best day hikes in the Cape Town area, and even some 'UNOFFICIAL' hidden gem thru-hike trails that link to many other nature areas.
