The 2016 Camaro is significantly lighter than the previous generation Camaro, but the weight reduction came partially at the expense of suspension components. The links in the rear IRS are significantly light that the previous Camaro, but they are also significantly weaker. BMR designed its suspension links to be significantly stronger than the factory links, reducing or eliminating the deflection seen in the factory links.
