Hello Folks!

I hope I find you all well. Tonight for tea, I made this delicious mince and dough balls…or suet dumplings :) I grew up loving this! My mother made this quite often, but she never put them in the oven to go crispy, she served them straight from the pot. However you have them…they’ll be delicious!

What I used (serves 3 - 4 people)

455g (15 oz) Good quality minced beef
125g (4.4 oz) Onions - finely diced
100g (3.5 oz) Frozen peas
125g (4.4 oz) carrots
300ml (10 fl oz) Beef stock
Gravy granules, cornflour or arrowroot to thicken | amount with vary

For the dumplings (Makes 4 large or 5-6 smaller dumplings)
100g (3.5 oz) Self raising flour
50g (1.7 oz) Suet (or very cold cubed butter or shortening if you don’t have suet)
1 Teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
6-8 Tablespoons cold water
Optional 2 teaspoons of parsley
