OW! Topher Broke his Back in an Accident! Meet Reggie the Lanner Falcon! Episode 10

Topher Mira got into a paragliding accident and broke his back! Topher explains the accident, what went through his mind, how he was feeling while the accident occurred. Do you believe in guardian angels? What a crazy experience! He broke two vertebrae in his back, and though uncomfortable, he is on the mend. We apologize for the delay in videos this injury has caused. Don’t worry, Soaring Spirits will persevere! David Metzgar and Topher Mira will continue to produce high-quality content of your favorite birds, and Topher looks forward to being back in the sky soon. Topher is grateful that his injury wasn’t worse, and is so appreciative of the outpouring of love and support he has received.

In this episode (episode 10) David Metzger and Topher Mira are training Reginald (aka Reggie) the Lanner falcon in David’s backyard in San Diego, California. Reggie is the smallest Lanner falcon that Dave has, but his life experience is big. Dave clues us in on Reggie’s life, illuminates curious facets of his personality, and discusses the traumas and triumphs that Reggie has been shaped by.
