BRITISH STANDARD LOCOMOTIVE PANORAMA

Описание к видео BRITISH STANDARD LOCOMOTIVE PANORAMA

Following Nationalisation in 1948 the Standard locomotives were introduced by British Railways from 1951 onwards using, what was thought to be, the best locomotive practices of the of the 'Big Four' companies i.e GWR, SR, LMS and LNER.
Thankfully, a large number of the locomotives have been preserved and this video, the third in Parsound's Panorama series, features all the various classes apart from the 77XXX and 84XXX for which no images were readily available. Here we see the engines in action on heritage and main lines, plus some which are under construction or restoration, in both moving and still formats.
As a matter of interest, the 2-10-0 9F Class was originally proposed as a 2-8-2. An interesting live steam model, showing what might have been, appears in RJAS 365 video:    • Santa Specials 2019 - Worthing Model ...
The first two videos in the Parsound Panorama series are:
Great Western Steam Locomotive Panorama:    • GREAT WESTERN STEAM LOCOMOTIVE PANORAMA
Southern Steam Locomotive Panorama:    • SOUTHERN  STEAM LOCOMOTIVE PANORAMA
I take this opportunity of wishing all my viewers a Happy Christmas and New Year.
