With a long planned multi-day hike canceled due to the recent earthquake, I embarked upon a spur-of-the-moment 2-day adventure to Taiwan’s most remote Baiyue and a beautiful nearby alpine lake - Mt. Liushun and (六順山) Qicai Lake (七彩湖).

Transport Info:
Getting to the trailhead at Sunhai Bridge (孫海橋) requires your own transport as there are no buses, although Shuili (水里) is not too far away, so you could catch the train to Shuilu station and then share a cab to the trailhead.
As for the Delica trip there are a number of companies that provide services. You can find one by searching online for Mt. Liushun (六順山接駁) or Qicai Lake shuttle (七彩湖接駁車) in Chinese.
