Introducing Modera Clarendon

Hartman Design Group was honored to provide interior design and outdoor living design services for this new multi-family community.

Located in a quaint neighborhood in the heart of Arlington, Virginia’s vibrant Clarendon community,  Modera Clarendon is the latest addition to this original urban village. Surrounded by a mix of upscale businesses including mom-and-pop shops, buzzy coffee houses, and hip restaurants, Mill Creek Residential’s latest DC metro multifamily property to debut, began lease up in March of 2023.

This seven-story, 270-unit pet-friendly apartment home was designed to have a visual connection from Washington Blvd, a fun and lively streetscape, to the private courtyard that holds pride of place in the center of the building.  Biophilic patterns throughout the interior enhance the connection to nature and provide a sense of well-being in this urban community.  The building is amenity-rich, with a focus on health, pets, social engagement, and physical activity.  The fitness center, bike room, bike maintenance shop, coworking, and a fully appointed pet spa are located along the front of the building where those passing by can enjoy the activity within.  Allowing vistas to the outdoors from every point, the clubroom, sports bar, and work pods connect to the courtyard with floor-to-ceiling windows and the self-serve market and lending library provide residents with every convenience.

Woven into the visually connected indoor and outdoor amenities are multiple areas to remote work, play, socialize, or find a cozy place to relax alone while enjoying community activity.  With clustered social spaces for grilling, sunbathing, work, and play, the courtyard is an intimate urban garden that can be viewed from the amenities as well as resident apartment homes.
