Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cyber Truck production happens and soon, the Next Generation Car!

It is a holiday weekend here today so little to no production but some construction. A great day for a Grand Tour around the larger site where we see almost all of the 3,100+ acres that Tesla owns for Giga Texas and future development.

In the video introduction, I discuss my recent tour inside Giga Texas video and recommend you take a look at that for different views and my impression of my extensive tour inside the factory. I also discuss a special display on the roof of the multi-level parking garage that includes Red, White & Blue Model Y's arranged into a large Texas flag. This is in celebration of Tesla's Independence as a manufacturer and a newly incorporated company in the state of Texas! Note, this display is for drones as it cannot be seen from the ground level!

In addition, I also discuss a looming hurricane that may come through the area early next week, bringing heavy rains for several days and how this might affect my drone flying schedule. Also, the hurricane is expected to come ashore very near Starbase, so I am hoping everyone remains safe.

I also show a video clip made by Elon Musk himself late last night on the south side of the Cyberpond showing the south extension and discussing the plans and timelines for the completion of the supercomputer installation. This is important for the further development of the FSD Hardware 4 systems.

For the grand tour around the site, we begin on the very far southeast of the property Tesla owns, and in this location is a large lake that may one day be part of the ecological paradise open to the public.

We then move to the water treatment plant and the Sand Hill Power Plant, both of which serve Giga Texas and the greater region around the factory. Over the past few years, we have seen additional capabilities added to these two plants to support the ever-growing Giga Texas site, and I show and discuss some of these in the video.

The next location we visit is on the far southwest corner of the site where we see the bulk of the West Support Facility, including material staging yards, the outbound lot, the west Warehouse on Wheels, contractor parking and additional earthwork.

Moving to the north, I show the section of land Tesla owns on the west side of Farm-to-Market 973, which itself is being widened from two to four lanes to help alleviate the traffic congestion in this location. The land Tesla owns here has recently been used for dirt excavation and use around the rest of the site to change and/or improve the grade.

I fly along Farm-to-Market 973 to the far north, showing another large section of land Tesla owns parallel to the central highway, but on the west side. This section of land is north of the Lone star asphalt and Concrete plant and is composed of many hills and ponds that are left over from the sand and gravel mining that once took place in this area.

I explore the extreme far north of the Tesla property where we see recreation centers, new apartments and a school just off the Tesla property. All of this has recently been added buy by the local community in response to the growing presence of Tesla. Much of the property in this area Tesla owns is yet undeveloped but it might be someday.

I continue flying to the south along the east boundary where we see work underway by the City of Austin to eventually add a new roadway that will cut across part of Tesla's property and connect the housing area with the main highway.

Finally, I arrive back at the large pond we began the grand tour at, showing a large 360-degree trip around the bulk of the property Tesla owns. I then fly towards the west to get much closer to the main factory, where I do another 360-degree tour at close range of the main factory building.
