STORYLINE:
In the Country of Starlight, a wise king had three sons. The eldest son, King Thomas, now rules over his land with benevolence. His middle son, Prince Roman, is captain of the royal guards. And his youngest son, Prince Patton, is simply enjoying life.

Their neighboring kingdom, the Iles of Storms, a queen gave birth to a daughter, Princess Mara. Unhappy with his heir, the king demanded she'd give birth to a son. True to his wishes, he was blessed with a son, Prince Virgil. Princess Mara was denied her birthright as queen, and she grew bitter and jealous of her baby brother.

Prince Virgil had no ambition to be king, but his father demanded it. During his father's diplomatic meetings with the neighboring kingdoms, Prince Virgil sneaks off and ends up running into Prince Patton. The two end up playing a game of hide-and-seek, and they become fast friends.

Fast forward several years, and Prince Patton and Prince Virgil have fallen in love with each other. Patton, having little to tie him down to the kingdom, gladly accepted Virgil's proposal for them to marry. Princess Mara, however, was displeased and argued that being queen was still her birth right. Their father, not wanting his malicious daughter to be queen, still accepted his son's betrothal.

Furious, Princess Mara began dabbling in dark arts to try and remove her brother from power on her own. She found a spell that would curse her brother and turn him into a beast. Now all she had to do was wait.

While out on a dragon hunt, Mara separated Virgil from their traveling party and cast her spell. When the guards came to see what was wrong, they found Virgil's clothes torn, and a vibrant purple dragon standing in its place. They chased off the dragon, and Mara said that the beast had killed her brother.

Meanwhile, Virgil fled and hid inside a cave, safe from any hunters. He found that as soon as the sunlight left his body, he changed back into his human self. However, when he tried to leave the mountains in his human form, he found himself changing back into the dragon. Unable to be free from the curse put upon him, Virgil did the only thing he could think of.

Wait for his lonely death to take him.
