Welcome to a little peek behind the drapes of Yale Anesthesia's residency orientation! There is a lot of back end work that gets us all the new residents ready to hit the wards in late June or early July, and Yale's medicine and surgery residents are no different. Hope you enjoy this brief, but beautiful period of celebration with my co-interns and wish us (and all the new residents starting out) the best of luck :) because we sure need it. Be kind to us, we're trying our best. And seriously thank you to all the senior residents, attendings, nurses, APPs, pharmacy, PT, OT, social work, and all others I am forgetting but are just as important to patient care....your guidance is appreciated more than you could ever imagine. Your smiles and feedback when we ask dumb questions will turn us into some of the most caring and hard work physicians, so thank you all :)
