Fastest way to clean your tarnished silver jewellery. This method is suitable for jewellery with lots of detailing and badly tarnished silver.

If you have noticed that your 925 Silver jewellery changes colour over time (straw yellow, red brown, purple, blue, and black), you are experiencing silver tarnishing (it is not rust, don't worry!). It’s a natural phenomenon that all silver tarnishes when contact with air and it’s actually really easy to remove!

📝 Things you'll need:
Aluminium foil
Baking Soda
Salt
Hot boiling water

💡 How to:
1. Line a glass dish with aluminium foil (shiny side is facing up).
2. Add 1 tbs of baking soda, 1 tbs of salt. Then place the tarnished silver jewellery into the foil-lined glass.
3. Pour the hot boiling water into the glass.
4. Turn over the piece using a utensil, make sure it's touching the aluminium foil.
5. Soak 2 - 3 minutes for heavily tarnished silver
6. Remove the jewellery from the glass and rinse it with fresh water. Then dry well.

✨ Tips to avoid silver jewellery tarnishing:
⋄ Wear Daily - The more you wear it, the more it will shine because friction will slow down tanishing. So don’t be afraid to wear your silver!
⋄ Airtight Ziplock Bag or Box - If you do not wear them frequently, we recommend storing it in a ziplock bag to prevent it contact with air.
⋄ Clean Before Storing - Wipe off all the sweat, moisture and dust before storing as the moisture will cause tarnishing.
