College has a way of making friendships feel closer than they actually are. When you see someone every single day, it’s easy to assume that the proximity you share equates to connection. This is unfortunately not the case. Familiarity is not the same thing as connection, and confusing the two can leave you feeling unseen, replaceable, and emotionally drained.
In this video, I talk about why proximity gets mistaken for real friendship in college/ early adulthood. I will talk about how this happens and what to do about it. This video aims to help identify and navigate this very real issue that affects so many young people in college.
