We get flooded in on the Gibb River Road | Tunnel Creek | Mt Hart |

This episode of ‪@nextleveloz‬ we finally get to one of our Big Lap bucket list items - the Gibb River Road. We swim with crocs in the dark in Tunnel Creek before heading to Mt Hart to beat an unseasonal wet weather system that closes the Gibb River Road and floods us in.

In this first part of our long awaited Gibb River Road adventure, we survive the flooded Kimberley region by holing up at Mt Hart Station for a longer period than expected. While we're there we take the opportunity to experience two spectacular and mesmerising scenic helicopter flights where we see more green and more water than normal through the Kimberley gorges and waterfalls in what should be the "dry season". During those flights we also do some spectacular low-level gorge flying as well as overflying several gorges closed due to the flooding.

After a longer diversion than we expected we finally get the news that the next section of the Gibb River Road will open and we prepare to leave Mt Hart.
