Filmjockey and rapper Q outlines the power of capital in Indian politics and the rise of the Hindu-nationalist far right of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He outlines the motivations and objectives of the ongoing farmers’ protests raging across India, which are already thought to be the largest social movement in human history. ‘Eat Your Words’ is an audio-visual intervention produced by Oddjoint in collaboration with Q and actor, director and activist Joyraj Bhattacharjee. It represents various scenes of the farmers’ protests interspersed with poetry challenging the concepts of ownership and nation, and is written and performed by Bhattacharjee, who walked from Kolkata to Delhi to join in solidarity with the protesting farmers.
