todays topic—
stress. anxiety. and bad audio AGAIN. (i'm so sorry!!)
i’ve dealt with small amounts of stress and anxiety my whole life because i believe i am somewhat of a ‘people pleaser’ but what i came to realize was how when emotions and thoughts start to bottle up inside over time, it can catch you off guard in the most abrupt way.
this conversation actually opened up my eyes to how closed off i used to be when i was younger and how it not only affected me but how it was a cause and effect reaction to others.
we also touched on the topic of body dysmorphia, negative self talk, and how those attributes trigger moments of stress or anxiety as well.
the ironic part of this episode is that even as im typing this out and uploading, i am getting stressed and anxious because this topic has been one of the hardest things for me to open up about.

and to Sean Lew, im honored to have brought along someone who i have grown up with and knows about the highs and lows of life. i believe we have been able to understand each other because we went through some of the most challenging years of adolescence growing into adulthood where these obstacles start to form. thank you for being so honest and open. vulnerability never gets easier, but when your able to tell your story, you gain sight and knowledge of how you cope with things and how others view it as well.

anxiety got me in this episode, as you could probably tell by the amount of times i said ‘like’ but the one thing i hope people take out of this week is to never stop growing within yourself and take your time to find the courage to open up to your friends, family, and people you care about.

let me explain.
it’s more about capturing a conversation and allowing a safe space for others to feel comfortable and seen. this season, in our 8 episodes, we are going to be talking about topics such as mental health, stress, anxiety and also I (kaycee) am going to be sharing my story and the things that I have dealt with as I’ve been growing up through this crazy thing we call life.
I hope that this can open up more conversations and can be a positive light to whoever may be listening. know that you are never alone in what you may be going through and we are here to share, listen, and see you for you. this podcast is a look into my life journal and just like it— it’s imperfect.
