CAQDAS webinar 042 Coding with purpose

Описание к видео CAQDAS webinar 042 Coding with purpose

In this webinar Dr Sarah L Bulloch illustrates why coding qualitative materials using CAQDAS packages can be particularly effective when thinking ahead to the kinds of co-occurrence interrogations these tools provide. With illustrations from a variety of CAQDAS packages, including ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, Quirkos, QDA Miner and NVivo, this is a highly informative webinar with a practical focus.

Abstract: Coding is a central analytic activity in almost every qualitative or mixed data analysis. Given how much time we dedicate to this process it is crucial that the outcome meets our expectations. In other words, it worth taking the time to make sure that our codes do their bit to help us answer our research questions. As many research questions seek to explore the relationship between concepts, so our codes are often more powerful if they facilitate this exploration. How, then, can we code with such pattern-seeking in mind?

The aim of this webinar is to show how widely available interrogation tools in CAQDAS packages can affect your approach to coding. Sarah will gives some hints and tips along the way to keep in mind when setting up codes, and how to make adjustments to existing codes should you wish to. The webinar builds on a webinar given by Susanne Friese in May 2022 (   • CNPwebinar028 Building a code system ...  )
