I picked up a six pack of this chocolate lava cake inspired beer at Aldi for $8.99. This one comes in at a decent 8% ABV and poured a beautiful dark brown color with a thin khaki head. The nose was immediately noticeable upon opening the can, you got boozy chocolate. The body on this was surprisingly good. It was full, smooth, and creamy. As to the taste, I loved it...you got a big semi-sweet chocolate punch up front, which gave way to the some sweetness (milk sugar), a hint of dark chocolate bitterness and all the roastiness you would expect from a stout. Best Aldi beer to date, in my opinion.
