The Lionel Classic 1947-1949 2332 Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1

Another classic Lionel locomotive (the Lionel 2332 GG-1 in Pennsylvania Brunswick Green). It was the first toy train copy made between 1947 and 1949 by the Lionel Company of NYC. There would be many more versions to follow.
It was gifted to me a few years ago by my son-in law from his grandfathers collection. I now maintain and care for it so that my special train fans grandchildren Ellie & Julian may also enjoy these special family heirlooms.
It's long since lost its original 5 gold stripes, gold number 2332 & Pennsylvania lettering from years of handling but it pulls 10 heavy cars effortlessly with a single worm gear motor and door bell buzzer horn.
I just thought you'd enjoy watching it as much as I do running around the track and another newer version made by a competitor of Lionel MTH almost 50 years later in 1998. This newer one in Tuscan Red with all the gold details features 2 smooth & powerful flywheel motors, an electronic reverse unit and more realistic sounding horn. Hope you enjoy!
