One of my favorite Lionel action boxcars, the 3424 Wabash operating brakeman boxcar from 1956. now newly 70 years old. I have 2 of these beautiful cars that I found in junk boxes at train shows and have restored to full operational condition. These were originally sold with 2 sets of telltales so that the brakeman sound duck and then stand back up as the car progressed. They were intended as safety features by the railroads but also became a popular animation for Lionel trains. Since 1956, this car has been re-released many times with different road names by Lionel & MTH. Enjoy!
