RIDE SUMMARY: This video covers the 25 days it took me to ride 1,107km between Albany and Mundaring, following the Munda Biddi Trail (MBT). My journey along the MBT was part of my round the world cycling adventure. Consequently, I rode it using a bicycle setup that was not the most suitable. A bike with suspension, less gear and higher-set front panniers (or framebags) would be better. But don't go letting an inappropriate bicycle setup stop you giving it a go either!

MUNDA BIDDI TRAIL: The MBT is dedicated to cycling. It provides unique access to a very special part of the world - special because it has the highest concentration of rare and endangered species in Australia. In fact, the southwest of Australia is one of 34 (or 35 or 36, depending on what you read) places on the planet recognised internationally as "biodiversity hotspots" - places that exhibit high levels of endemism (species found nowhere else) but are under threat from ongoing habitat destruction. The region can also be explored on foot via a world-renowned hiking trail known as the Bibbulman Track.
