In this video you'll learn how easy it is to make your own chutney and relish. You'll learn the basic principles, and hopefully gain confidence to start experimenting and creating your own combinations.

As always on this channel, we'll show how they can enhance your food presentation by putting together a quick cheese platter which will showcase the chutney and relish we made.

= Beetroot Relish =
200g (7oz) beetroot, peeled and grated
90g (3.1oz) apple, peeled and grated
1/4 red onion, sliced
60g (2.1oz) white wine vinegar
60g (2.10z) balsamic vinegar
1/4 lemon juiced
1/2 teaspoon mustard
10g (0.3oz) oil
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice

= Apricot and Date Chutney =
110g (3.8oz) dried apricots, soaked.
200g (7oz) pitted dates, chopped
35g (1.2oz) preserved ginger, sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
110g (3.8oz) sultanas
110g (3.8oz) brown sugar
250ml (8.4oz) white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
