McFarlane DC Multiverse Arkham Asylum BATMAN 7 inch figure Repainted & Re Caped!

Описание к видео McFarlane DC Multiverse Arkham Asylum BATMAN 7 inch figure Repainted & Re Caped!

This is my repainted and reworked McFarlane DC Multiverse Arkham Asylum BATMAN figure! I had a lot of fun repainting this one, and with Batgirl31's amazing added cape, I think I have my favorite Batman figure ever!

Just to say, I very much enjoy reworking these McFarlane figures, as do so many on YouTube. There are so many how-to vids out there now, and so many vids of this figure, that I am a bit late to the game (again!) but still, I had so much fun watching those videos, that I had to get one and see what I could do with it.

So, I am not that big a gamer, never have been, but this great Batman design was sorely lacking from my personal collection. Once in hand, the repaint went smoothly. I used Vallejo acrylic paints and repainted the grey areas with a Med Grey, mixed with the always awesome Oily Steel, and toned that down some with flat black.

The head and cowl was removed, a surprisingly simple maneuver on this figure, as the neck up was a separate set of pieces, and repainted and toned down the eyes, which looked horrid, gloss coated them, and repainted the skin and mouth areas, giving him a reasonable five o'clock shadow, and details, and that was done. The head then pops back on top of the body where the cape that came with it used to be. In fact, it was ready for a new cape....more on that in a moment...

The black areas I and the whole figure, I dusted and drybrushed with Tamiya weathering Master powders, sand, light sand and mud, and got the dirty look on the boots and highlights on the cowl and other areas.
Once all that was done, I sprayed the figure with Mr Hobby Mr Super Clear FLAT, and the body was done.

Now, the cape...
The plastic cape that came with this first version of the figure was actually pretty cool for a Batman figure, but I wanted full pose-ability, and potential drama, so I turned to my new go to, Batgirl31 on Ebay, and ordered her wired cape, ready made for this figure! And it fit and rocked immediately upon placement!
To say her capes are improvements is an understatement!
I can make my own wired capes...kinda....and have...but when it is one's niche, the result is always better...and her niche is EXCELLENTLY made capes for figures!
I already know my '89 Batman with her cape was nicer than it was as purchased, but this figure blossomed once the new cape was added!
THANK YOU is not enough for this talented individual! She simply makes Batman figures better and I cannot thank her enough!

So, that is the story, and the video should speak for itself. I look forward to future projects like this one, especially the newly announced Dark Knight series, with a new 7 inch Batman in that group! Yep, you can bet I will be after Batgirl31 for another cape too!

Enjoy the video and please mark LIKE if you do, and please SUBSCRIBE if you have not!

Til next vid...
