Acrylic Painting : Simple Tropical Leaf - Abstract Painting Technique

Tropical leaf acrylic painting tutorial. Paint a tropical leaf painting using an awesome painting technique. I love painting abstract background paintings with lots of colour then using the background to create abstract visual textures for the focal image. First paint the whole canvas with black acrylic paint and allow it to dry. Then apply light green acrylic paint with a paintbrush to the canvas. Sprinkle isopropyl alc onto the wet paint to create unique erosion texture to the paint. Then splatter yellow and white acrylic paint to the canvas to add more visual texture. Let the paint dry completely before continuing. Then draw on a tropical leaf shape with a white charcoal pencil, which can be easily erased if needed. Paint the background around the leaf with black acrylic paint. Paint the leaf veins with yellow acrylic paint. An art supply list can be found below. Thanks for watching! Happy painting!
