Dr. Vance Baird is the recipient of the 2024 Distinguished Service Award, given annually by the Michigan State Horticultural Society to one fruit grower and one industry representative.
Vance has been an excellent partner to both the MSHS and the fruit industry over the past 15 years as the chair of the Michigan State University Horticulture Department. He has worked hard to keep industry-facing positions filled to best serve the needs of Michigan's fruit growers.
