沖縄県 辺戸岬と大石林山 ～ 沖縄本島最北端の絶景！ / Cape Hedo & Mt. Daisekirinzan ( Okinawa, Japan ) 【日本の絶景】【おうちで沖縄】

辺戸岬は、沖縄本島の最北端に位置する絶景岬で、一帯は「やんばる国立公園」に属します。
太平洋と東シナ海がぶつかる沖合からの荒波が、サンゴ礁の断崖絶壁に打ち付ける様は迫力満点で、天気が良い日には西方に伊是名島（いぜなじま）・伊平屋島（いへやじま）が望め、北方には約22km離れた鹿児島県の与論島（よろんじま）も見えます。

辺戸岬には平和に関するモニュメントも設置されており、「日本祖国復帰闘争碑」は祖国復帰の闘争が繰り返されていたことを忘れまいと、沖縄が米国から日本に返還された1972年に建立されました。
「ヨロン島・国頭村友好記念碑」は、占領時に沖縄本島と与論島の間の海上で開かれていた、年に一度の交流集会を偲んで、その時の友好の証となっています。

辺戸岬の背後には特徴的な山容の「大石林山」がそびえ立ち、古来より聖なる地とされ、パワースポットとしても有名です。
大石林山（だいせきりんざん）は辺戸岬の南方に位置する切り立った岩山で、亜熱帯の自然林を巡るトレッキングコースを散策できます。

大石林山では、石灰岩が浸食されてできたカルスト地形を間近に見られ、人間の背よりもはるかに高く尖った岩がゴロゴロしていて、
6万本もの大小のソテツが岩の間から林立する様も圧巻です。

「悟空岩」は石灰岩が雨水などで侵食されできたタワー状のカルストです。また「烏帽子岩（えぼしいわ）」は石灰岩が浸食されて鋭く尖った「ピナクル」が見られます。

一帯は奇岩の宝庫で「輪廻 生まれ変わりの石」は岩の大きな空洞を3回くぐり抜けると生まれ変われると伝わります。
また「アガリメー」は真東から陽光が入る石積みで、太陽信仰の拝所といわれます。

「御願（うがん）ガジュマル」は樹齢約200年といわれる日本最大級のガジュマルの巨木で、「御願」とは沖縄の方言で「願い・祈り」を意味し、ガジュマルの木の妖精（キジムナー）の目撃談もあります。

大石林山は展望地としても素晴らしく、山頂近くにある「美ら海展望台ステージ」では、眼下に辺戸岬の一帯を見渡すことができ、天気の良い日には与論島や沖永良部島まで一望できます。
辺戸岬では最北端ならではのダイナミックな絶景が見られ、大石林山ではワイルドな「やんばるの森」も満喫できます！

Cape Hedo is a spectacular cape located at the northernmost tip of the main island of Okinawa, and the whole area belongs to the Yanbaru National Park.
On a clear day, Izena Island and Iheya Island can be seen to the west, and Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture can be seen to the north, about 22 km away.

There is also a peace monument at Cape Hedo, the "Monument to the Struggle for Japan's Return to the Motherland," which was erected in 1972 when Okinawa was returned to Japan from the U.S. to remember the repeated struggles for the return to the motherland.

The "Yoron Island-Kunigashira Village Friendship Monument" is a testament to the friendship that existed during the occupation, in memory of the annual exchange meetings held on the sea between Okinawa Island and Yoron Island.


Behind Cape Hedo rises the distinctive mountain "Daisekirinzan", which has been regarded as a sacred place since ancient times and is famous as a power spot.
Daisekirinzan is a sheer rocky mountain located in the south of Cape Hedo, where you can take a walk on a trekking course through a subtropical natural forest.

At Daisekirinzan, you can get a close look at the karst topography formed by the erosion of limestone rocks, with rocks that are much taller and sharper than a man's back rumbling around.
As many as 60,000 cycads of all sizes stand between the rocks, creating a spectacular sight.

Daisekirinzan is also a wonderful observation point. At the Churaumi Observatory Stage near the top of the mountain, you can see all of Cape Hedo below, and on a clear day, you can even see Yoron Island and Okinoerabu Island.

At Cape Hedo, you can see the dynamic view that only the northernmost point can offer, and at Mt. Daisekirinzan, you can enjoy the wild "Yanbaru Forest"!
