Lyrics in German:
Im jahre neunzehnhundert
Da rief der trommelklang
Die welt nach Peking
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang
Die flammen loderten zum himmel
Der tod zog fordernd seinen gang
Er zog durch Peking
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang
Der aufstand dunkler mächte
Den der haß geboren hatt
Zog im feuerschein der nächte
Durch die große leere stadt
Und es ward der trommel dröhnen
Und es ward der hörner klang
Zum lied von Peking
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang

Es waren elf nationen
Die fest und ohne rang
Zusammen standen
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang
Im wind da wehten ihre fahnen
Ohne falschen stolz und überschwang
Ihr stolz ließ trotzen
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang
Und so wie das schicksal sie in
Gefahr und not verband
Widerstanden sie dem feinde
Jeder für sein vaterland
Und sie kämpften und sie trotzen
Einer großen übermacht
Und sie kämpften und siegten
Und gewannen diese schlacht
Und es ward der trommel dröhnen
Und es ward der hörner klang
Zum lied von Peking
Fünfundfünfzig tage lang

Zum lied von Peking fünfundfünfzig tage lang...
Zum lied von Peking fünfundfünfzig tage lang…

Lyrics in English:
In nineteen hundred
When the drums called
the world to Peking for
Fifty-five long days
Flames were blazing to the sky
Death went his way claiming
Roamed through Peking for
Fifty-five long days
The uprising of dark forces
Which hatred had born
Was roaming in the firelight of the nights
Through the great empty city
And it was the roaring of the drum
And it was the sounding of the horns
That become the song of Peking for
Fifty-five long days

There were eleven nations
That firm and without ranks
Stood together for
Fifty-five long days
Their flags were waving in the wind
Without false pride and exuberance
Their pride outbraved for
Fifty-five long days
And as fate bound 'em together
In danger and distress
They resisted the enemy
Each one for his fatherland
And they fought and they defied
A great superior force
And they fought and prevailed
And won this battle
And it was the roaring of the drum
And it was the sounding of the horns
That became the song of Peking for
Fifty-five long days

Became the song of Peking for Fifty-five long days
Became the song of Peking for Fifty-five long days
