We have three species of Fritillary in NI that are on the wing in late Spring and/or summer. These can also overlap in distribution where species-rich woodland and grassland habitats occur in proximity to each other. Records for all three species are important in understanding their distribution and phenology and to help encourage more recording, we are running a specific workshop on them. Learning to differentiate between them is important so please do watch this session and to see how you can help!
