People come into our lives for a reason, and the conversations with them can inspire art. This art does not flow out of imagination but is simply an affirmation of the truth in the artist's life. Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, a jazz and blues artist, performs 3 of her beautiful songs and talks about the inspiration behind them. In the gaps between her songs, she iterates common place incidents that have strongly affected her and serve as a source for her art. She affirms her faith in the belief that there is no greater inspiration than the mundane. A graduate of the celebrated Berklee College of Music, Sanjeeta has surrounded herself with music from a tender age of 3. She has sung renditions of classic jazz and soul numbers.
Sanjeeta has a colossal appetite for good food, music, traveling and her art has been heavily influenced by her family that is a motley of mixed artists.
Her music is defined as pop/experimental/indie.
Her serenades will take you to a promised land of melody where you could wander within. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
