Rediscovering Creativity: Why Adults Need to Play

Do you remember when your creative work really tapped into something interesting? You know, it may be that it still does, but for a lot of us as adults—having done the whole house, car, family thing—you got into a really good rhythm of being a grown-up. And in some ways, that can get in the way of tapping into the deeper, juicy, creative stuff; being able to open the door to the creative consciousness and let things emerge, right?

It can be hard to validate that kind of time in your life, right? It can be hard to take time to not know what you're doing, to follow curiosity, and to follow something that's a little niggling or enticing, that doesn't have a really clear practical purpose. But let me tell you something: being tapped into your creative source is life-affirming.
