We FInally arrived in Kovalam (Kerala State), west coast of India! Kovalam is famous for its fishermen who are super strong! Every day this group of men have only one goal, to try to catch as many fish as possible so they can sell them straight on the beach to tourists and local restaurants.

For the local fishermen, this hard fish work is important to support their families and for the travellers visiting Kovalam, it is nice to see the locals keep up this tradition.

In this vlog we explore Kovalam with its Red and White Lighthouse, the main beach with cute sunsets, and stroll around the narrow streets looking for budget-friendly places to eat and getting some clothes tailored by a local guy! We will also show you a typical day in the life of a backpacker, the costs and struggles involved, in this case in Kovalam, Kerala, South of India.
