MANILA'S ONLY TOWN! Exploring Pateros and Eating Rotten Balut (Near BGC)

THE ONLY MUNICIPALITY/TOWN IN METRO MANILA... PATEROS!

What a wonderful first experience taking a walk through Pateros. This little municipality is tucked between Taguig and Makati, and unlike those two cities, doesn't have big skyscrapers. Instead, you will find streets lined with various styles of house... some look very ancestral! And don't be surprised if some of those houses have little balut and salted egg stands outside of them. Yup, you can spot those everywhere! This town in Metro Manila is famous for its balut and eggs! I saw a few little duck ornaments statues and even the emblem of a duck and eggs on the municipal hall.

Aside from the eggs, one can find a famous type of local slipper called "Alfombra". On this day, I actually bumped into two locals making them at a shop along the road. I love how they are made by hand... and the guys were actually Bisaya!

This video is just a little bit of exploring in Pateros. The only town hidden away between Taguig, Pasig and Makati in Metro Manila!
