Bluebell Railway: Model Railway Weekend | 29-30/6/24

To mark a year on since my first endeavour into this hobby, we’re back at the Bluebell to celebrate their model railway weekend. The event would largely take place at Sheffield Park station where many traders and model layouts would be situated within the engine shed. That Model Railway guy would also be performing meet and greets for fans who wish to speak to him. This would also be amongst an intensive timetable with two service trains, demonstration goods runs and shuttle services between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes.

Sitting outside the engine shed would be Britian’s newest steam locomotive: 32424 ‘Beachy Head’ and would stand proudly on static display after recently completing a few days of light engine running down the line to East Grinstead. This is where we start our video, also showcasing 21C123
‘Blackmoor Vale’ with her cladding being removed: this is the start of her next extensive overhaul.

72 ‘Fenchurch’ would perform 2 demonstration goods trains each day between Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes whilst also performing shuttle services between the two stations with the observation carriage. Continuing her stunning work after returning to service, ‘Sir Archibald Sinclair’ was also back out on the line performing service trains alongside the workhouse of the railway 80151.
