Throughout Magic’s history, Wizards has printed a lot of cards, and plenty of those cards have had strange sounding effects. This is done on purpose, to a degree. Wizards wants people to look at their cards and remember them, so coming up with ridiculous sounding lines of text helps get players excited for the next set.
