This video will show the CTAK procedure from beginning to end. CTAK is a form of a lamellar keratoplasty where a custom designed femtosecond created corneal stromal insert is placed into corneal stromal channels. The surgical plan is carefully designed using data from the Pentacam (Oculus). CTAK technology is made possible by the collaboration of Dr. Peter Hersh and Greenstein and CorneaGen. In my opinion, CTAK is one of the most exciting new surgical procedures for patient with keratoconus.
