The church of Ephesus was working for the LORD extensively with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yet the Bible mentions that they gave up on their first love. We too, sometimes get so caught up in the works of ministry that we forfeit our first love for Jesus. Our programs occupy our schedules at the cost of our personal time with the LORD. God does not us want to live like this. He wants us to have Him as our first priority over all other things. Jesus Christ must be our first love. We have to honor Him with the first fruit of our life, whether it be in our priorities or in our earnings. Our efforts and works for the LORD have to be the outcome of our devotion and intimate relationship with Him. When we seek first the kingdom and righteousness of God, all things shall be added unto us.
