Have you ever wondered what size should a repeat pattern tile be for printing? Well in this video, I’ll be explaining how repeat pattern tile size is determined for production in the fashion industry! The short answer is that there is no set size. But there are many factors that designers have to consider when determining their repeat pattern tile size.

I’ll be going through a few different scenarios (including a calculation if you ever need it), and through the main factors that every designer needs to consider when figuring out their repeat pattern size.

This video will give you some insightful information about the print preparation process for production and what YOU actually need to know as the designer. So you’ll get an inside look at what we really do!

When fashion designers design prints, they’re usually designing the print for a specific garment design, or for a collection of specific garments. So the process we follow to create our prints may vary a little bit as compared to surface or textile designers who design prints for general use, and are not designing around specific garments.
